Garrison Forest School (GFS) seeks a temporary Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing, to start as soon as possible. This position is a temporary maternity leave placement.
Garrison Forest School (GFS) seeks a temporary Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing, to start as soon as possible. This position is a temporary maternity leave placement, with an anticipated schedule of about 15 hours per week for 12 weeks. Note that weekly needs may fluctuate.
This role supports general marketing efforts of the Garrison Forest School Communications and Marketing team, primarily serving as a photographer and videographer. Weekly assignments will be provided, with key dates communicated at the onset of the placement and subsequent needs communicated prior to each week. The candidate does not need to be on campus but must be able to get to campus if needed for an assignment. Some evening and weekend assignments are possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compelling photography for the school’s website, publications, social media and advertising. This includes staged photography as well as editorial shoots.
- Produce videos that tell the story of GFS or serve as the school’s videographer for events and shows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in photography, including portrait-style, candids and event photography. Experience photographing sports is preferred but not required.
- Experience creating videos for marketing purposes.
- Must be able to turn photos and videos around quickly, usually within the same day for photography.
- Must be able to work well with many different constituents, to include students in grades Preschool through 12th, faculty, staff and parents.
Background check/fingerprinting is required prior to the start of employment.
