Friends' Central School is an independent, coeducational Quaker day school founded in 1845 and serving approximately 819 students in Nursery through grade 12. Located in the Philadelphia suburbs, the School has two campuses. The Middle & Upper Schools are located just outside of West Philadelphia in Wynnewood, and the Lower School is on our Old Gulph Road campus in the heart of Wynnewood.

Development Associate
Oversee the daily operation of the Development database, which tracks philanthropic information on all FCS constituents and donors. Manage information system to provide support to the Chief Development Officer and help in all related development functions including event coordination and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the main departmental point person (“superuser”) for the Development database optimizing its use, efficiency and effectiveness for the development activities of Friends’ Central School.
- Gift entry and reconciliation
- Gift Acknowledgement to donors to Friends’ Central in accordance with donor intent, FCS policies, and adherence to the IRS rules and regulations governing contributions to 501(c)(3) organizations
- Administrative support for EITC/OSTC program reporting
- Reporting, including monthly progress reports, mailing list creation, moves management
- Work with Business Office to reconcile giving records and fundraising progress reports
- Coordinate research of potential and current donors
- Support stewardship programs
- Support alumni/ae engagement
- Event coordination including creation of timelines, invitations, nametags, etc.; engaging caterers; conducting walkthroughs; managing av/tech needs and vendors
- Office management and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Excellent technology skills including 2-4 years database experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interact with all segments of the school community
- Tact, discretion and confidentiality
