Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is seeking an energetic and motivated head coach for our Track program in the winter and spring of 2023-24. Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is a pluralistic Jewish day school for students in grades 6-12 that is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This seasonal position is responsible for, under the guidance of the Director of Athletics, the leadership of the Varsity and Middle School track teams.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with players, parents, staff, and administration
• Implement track training program to facilitate student-athletes reaching their full potential
• Teach the sport of track and field, emphasizing both individual and team development 
• Establish a strong and positive team culture that values leadership, responsibility, and respect, and aligns with JBHA’s core values
• Build meaningful relationships with players and families as it pertains to track and field
• Drive student-athletes to practices and competitions in team van if needed. The team practices at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood (indoor track), Lower Merion High School (3/25-28), Haverford College, and on Barrack’s campus.
• Support the athletic program and student-athletes
• Attend end-of-season sports awards assembly
• Barrack track does not train or compete on Fridays, Saturdays, Winter Break, or Passover Break.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience coaching track at the high school level
• Ability to motivate and teach student-athletes in a positive environment
• Demonstrated effective coaching skills
• Knowledge of track training and development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
