POSITION DESCRIPTION
Substitute teachers provide classroom support for grades K-8. They must be flexible and willing to take on last minute duties as needed. Substitute teachers sometimes have sole responsibility for a classroom; sometimes they share the duties with another teacher.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage with students in classroom activities
- Use effective classroom management strategies
- Implement lesson plans as needed
- Supervise students at recess and lunch
- Use technology as needed
- Maintain the tidiness of the classroom
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant teaching experience working in a school setting
- TB Test (the school will reimburse any costs)
- Fingerprinting (the school covers the costs)
BENEFITS
