The Elisabeth Morrow School, a leader in education from early childhood through middle school, seeks a seasoned and visionary educator to lead our middle school. We seek a leader who not only has expertise in middle school curriculum and instruction, but who also has an appreciation of the unique social and emotional development that occurs during these years.
Essential Qualifications
- Successful instructional leadership and middle school teaching experience;
- superior communication and organizational skills
- team-oriented, collaborative leader, clear about goals and decisive in leadership style
- demonstrated commitment to the academic, social and emotional well-being of every child, every day
- commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning and work environment
- demonstrated leadership in the development and implementation of middle-level programs required
- Enthusiastically seek to work with and plan alongside colleagues and leadership team to create the best interdisciplinary academic program and accompanying experiences for our students.
- Demonstrated commitment to the academic, social, and emotional well-being of every child, every day;
- Experience in supervising, evaluating, and promoting professional growth.
- Possessing a personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the requisite skills to facilitate critical conversations is a must.
- Master’s degree required.
Schedule Requirements
- A minimum of standard business hours Monday–Friday
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends as necessary
Compensation and Benefits
This appointment will begin in July 2024 and is a full-time position. The compensation package will be competitive for the region and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and the national independent school market. This position is eligible for our school’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes a strong tuition remission program.
