Position Summary:
The Permanent Educational Consultant (PEC) is a dedicated resource within our institution, responsible for ensuring instructional continuity and academic excellence. The PEC collaborates with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff to provide guidance, resources, and strategies tailored to each classroom environment's unique needs.
Step in and provide teaching support when regular educators are absent, ensuring seamless instructional delivery. Delivers established lesson plans and facilitates student participation in assigned classes. Adapt and modify lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students in real-time.
Role and Responsibilities:

• Review with the school director or department chairperson all lesson plans and schedules to be followed during the assigned class teaching day.
• Follow classroom systems/procedures and manage student behavior aligned with school-wide practices to ensure all students are fully engaged in learning.
• Collaborate with the academic team and regular teacher to create weekly lesson plans/overviews.
• Follow lesson plans aligned to school and accreditation standards.
• Maintain appropriate supervision of students at all times.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Communicate with the regular teacher or campus director regarding student academics and behavior.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions.
• Communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, parents, and students.
• Input daily attendance procedures each period using School Pass.
• Participate in campus and school-wide events.
• May attend student support services plan meetings as required.
• Dedication to Rochambeau’s vision, mission, values, and strategic plan.
• Perform related duties that align with the position's scope and intent.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required or a credentialed foreign degree equivalent to a US Bachelor's Degree.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of successful secondary classroom teaching experience
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly desired:
*Ability to read, write, speak, and understand both languages fluently.
*Comfortable communicating and interacting in both languages in a professional setting.
*Experience with translating documents or interpreting conversations is a plus.
