CATS Academy Boston seeks a Digital Photography and Video Teacher to join a dedicated and ambitious Visual Arts Department. This teacher will create an engaging classroom environment while providing students with technical, visual, and vocational skills in digital photography, photo editing, video production, and video editing. The Digital Arts Teacher will also be an important CSVPA BOSTON (Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts) member.

CATS Academy BOSTON, in association with Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts, offers a creative arts-focused high school diploma. CSVPA BOSTON aims to be an esteemed creative learning institution and to become the preferred destination for creative student artists. In addition to the core subject curriculum, the school offers an arts curriculum created by professional artists who share a passion for international education. CSVPA BOSTON will remain focused on helping students get accepted to the top colleges and universities around the globe.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Attend all CSVPA BOSTON events, including field trips, guest speaker sessions, after-school studio, fairs, and meetings. 

· Assist students with portfolio building for college applications.

· Successful candidate will create a rigorous curriculum and maintain an engaging environment that reaches students of all skill levels. 

· Effectively communicate with students who are at various levels of English proficiency.

· Document student progress in quarterly student grade reports.

· Maintain project assessments in school-supplied software.

Knowledge and Skills

· Proficient with MAC platform.

· Knowledge and proficiency of programs commonly used in digital arts.

· Strong visual communication skills, storytelling skills, and design skills.

· Professional art experience in a related field is preferred.

· Knowledge of traditional art and fine art skills is preferred.
