Athletics Associate

Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Physical Education (K-12), the Athletics Associate is responsible for assisting with the management and organization of the Athletics After School and Weekend Sports programs. The specific duties include helping with day to day operations, assisting with the implementation of programmatic and administrative policies and procedures, and communication with coaches. These duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Position Responsibilities:
The individual will be involved in the daily sports activities of the school between the hours of 2:00 - 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and at weekends and must assist the Director of Athletics and Physical Education to ensure the department operates efficiently by:
- Oversee and assist with the management of the After School and Weekend Sports Programs and Sports Camps.
- Designing, implementing and managing the After School and Weekend Sports Programs and Sports Camps registration process.
- Coordinating with the Director of Special Programs and After Care Coordinators.
- Oversee and assist with the management of Interscholastic Athletic Contests at UNIS.
- Communicate with coaches, referees, parents and security while programs are taking place.
- Be responsible for the set up and break down of Athletics facilities during interscholastic contests.
- Manage the scoretable during home interscholastic contests.
- Supervise the maintenance and care of athletic and physical education facilities.
- Assist Director of Athletics and Physical Education with the communication and implementation of the programs with the UNIS community (i.e students, parents, faculty, staff, and coaches).
- Work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director to assist with the execution of all department events (i.e. Sports Day, Student Awards, Senior Nights, Seasonal Assemblies, College Signing Day).
- Assist the Assistant Athletics Director with the UNIS Athletics Website and Instagram account to promote school and community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
- Assist with the organization of the uniform process including ordering, inventory, issue, return and billing.
- Assist with the organization of the equipment process including ordering, and inventory.
- Promote high standards of sportsmanship, ethics, and personal conduct.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Athletics or related field
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to exchange information and coordinate efforts with other parties
- Strong organization skills, ability to manage a fast-paced work environment with several competing priorities, ability to prioritize work assignments, organize own schedule, perform routine work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to constantly changing demands
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office, Final Site, Google forms and Senior Systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of related technologies and excellent computing skills required
- Ability to work flexible hours
Annual Salary of $70,000.
