The Maintenance personnel perform routine maintenance on all buildings and ground equipment/systems and provides assistance to the faculty, staff and students as needed. This position may work independently in routine maintenance assignments or under the technical direct.

Qualifications
Candidates will possess appropriate expertise and experience for an applicant able to perform the duties as outlined in this posting and deliver consistent and excellent outcomes.
Qualified candidates will have the ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities. Two (2) or more years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, repair work, or related field.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualified candidates are required to have a valid WA motor vehicle operator license. Needs to have basic computer skills including Google Suite and good customer service skills, including establishing, building, and maintaining internal/external customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications:
Additionally desired, but not required, qualifications are knowledge of repairing and maintaining locks, doors and frames, performing new construction key/lock take-offs while reviewing and approving hardware specifications according to CWA standards. Installation of new locks, cut new and duplicate keys and pin cores as needed will be a plus for this position.
Basic knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems, commercial plumbing,
HVACR systems (both electric and gas), and a basic knowledge and use of basic
carpentry and painting skills.
Knowledge of chemicals and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ability to read and interpret.
SDS instructions. Experience reading building plans and work experience in a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, of Electrical, HVACR, building envelope issues, including windows, carpentry, door hardware. And have a flexible schedule to accommodate overtime and shift work.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed both inside and outside, being exposed to a variety of weather conditions for the Pacific Northwest. Exposure to high noise levels and a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding, lifts, ladder, and high places, and exposure to heat, weather extremes for the Pacific Northwest and work with various chemicals.
The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand for sustained periods, push and pull using steady force, perform activities requiring repetitive arm-hand movements and be in good physical condition to be able to lift up to 75 pounds is essential.
Driving a school truck or van is necessary, which requires a valid Washington State driver’s license and a clean driving record.
