The John Cooper School is seeking a full time Performing Arts Administrative Assistant. Qualified candidates will possess well-developed communication and organizational skills whether in person, via phone, or in writing as well as strong computer/technology skills including those listed below. The candidate must be well organized and have the ability to balance a variety of tasks. In addition, candidates must be dedicated to the confidentiality and appropriate management of information for The John Cooper School students, parents, faculty, and staff.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
- Experience with graphics software - Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Willingness and ability to learn technology on demand
- Administrative experience
- Experience in a school preferred
- College degree or professional training preferred (Certified Administrative Professional)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative and secretarial support for the Performing Arts team
- Assists with Glenn Performing Arts Center (GPAC) building scheduling and communications
- Assists Director of Performing Arts as House Manager for all major events in GPAC (requires evening/weekend availability, generally 1 weekend and 1-2 evenings per month)
- Facilitates departmental printed programs for performances with directors
- Manages online ticketing software for ticketed GPAC events
- Maintains GPAC teacher workroom and student lost and found items
- Assists Middle School and Upper School office with attendance records
- Works with the administrative team and Fine Arts Council to plan special events
- Answers phone and handles inquiries from parents, students, faculty and staff as appropriate
- Provides administrative support on other projects as required
- Performs other school duties as assigned
