Job Description
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher of students first and subject second, a skilled user of technology and 21st century pedagogy, an eager participant and collaborator in school life, committed to fostering positive relationships for learning, and dedicated to our core principles of character, educational vigor, diversity, and community.
The teaching load will be four or five sections of middle school social studies courses. In addition to becoming a member of our History and Social Science department, the successful candidate will serve as an advisor to a group of 8-10 advisees and take on an additional responsibility such as advising a club or serving on a committee.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic social studies educator who leverages technology and interactive teaching methods effectively. Their active participation in the school community, collaboration with colleagues, and commitment to fostering positive learning relationships will be vital.
Requirements
- The minimum of A bachelor’s degree in History, Social Science, or related field is required and an advanced degree preferred.
