The Director of Development oversees the short and long-term fundraising and advancement needs of the school. They are responsible for the creation, execution, and management of all fundraising activities and events. The Director of Development works closely with the Board of Trustees, the Chief Financial Officer, and other members of the school leadership to identify advancement opportunities for the school and how to raise the funding necessary to implement them. They must build and maintain strong positive relationships with parents, families, board members, faculty, and other members of the Hancock and Savannah communities to help secure financial support for the school’s programs and projects. The Director of Development also handles the school’s on-campus special events and oversees the volunteers associated with each event. They will work with volunteers and other supporters to plan and execute successful events that are in line with the mission and vision of Hancock Day School as well as the identified fundraising needs.
