Bolles Middle School students continue to develop their identities and build their independence under the guidance of caring faculty and advisors. At the Bolles Bartram Campus students learn responsibility, decision-making, and time management as they explore their interests in academics, arts, community service, and/or athletics. The middle school curriculum encourages students to expand their interests while they also prepare for the challenges and rigor of upper school. The programs offered in middle school begin to take on a more demanding pace for which the faculty works to prepare students. Higher concepts in each subject are introduced by faculty specializing in that subject.
Position Purpose: The Director of Middle School Admission is responsible for supporting all areas of the Middle School Enrollment Management Process. The Director provides administrative support and assistance, interacts with other departments relative to the processing of admission information, and represents the school to families seeking Middle School admission. This is a 12-month position.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the recruitment and enrollment of prospective new middle school students, including initial contacts, responding to inquiries, arranging for, and conducting interviews, and preparing student files for committee consideration.
- Conducts individual and group campus tours for prospective students and their families.
- Works closely with the Middle School Head during all aspects of the admission process
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees promotional events & engages the MS community in support of the admission process.
- Coordinates the Middle School Student Ambassador Program
- Develops analytical reports and statistics for the Middle School admission process.
- Develops relationships and confers with administrators of feeder schools and other educational institutions to explain admission requirements.
- Must possess a growth mindset and ensure the continued professional development of the Middle School school admission process using appropriate resources.
- Provides students, parents, and guardians with information regarding admissions requirements and processes, financial aid applications, enrollment issues, or other procedures.
- Serves on the Middle School Admission Committee
- Cross collaboration between the US & LS Directors of Admission & all Campus Heads
- Attends all Admission Events on each campus as an engaged & supportive Admission Team member.
- Promotes a culture of learning that utilizes technology such as Google Docs, Senior Systems, basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with the willingness to learn additional applications as needed.
- Fosters an environment in which diversity, equity, and inclusion are consistently practiced in all facets of the school community.
- Keeps current knowledge of Enrollment & Admission trends locally, nationally, and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with independent school admission preferred.
- Experience as a middle school teacher or educational administrator preferred.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, particularly with middle school age children.
- High degree of initiative and creativity
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all constituents.
- High professional and ethical standards in handling confidential information
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks with close attention to detail and deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to engage in prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to list up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
- Must be able to travel periodically.
