St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, Houston (SSESH) seeks an Operations and Advancement Associate to support various essential functions of the school.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Below is a summary of expected duties and responsibilities. It is not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Related to the Business Office
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Assists in processing payroll
- Manages and tracks purchasing
Related to the Development Office
- Manages database
- Establishes and maintains relationships with alumni and former families
- Collaborates with the Director of Development on managing relationships with families, donors, and foundations
- Assists with Development Office communications
Related to Marketing and Communications
- Manages school social media posts and campaigns
- Supports the planning and delivery of special events
Related to Enrollment Management and Community Engagement
- Assists with data entry and management
- Supports efforts to retain current families and attract new families
- Available to answer calls and emails related to admissions inquiries
- Supports the planning and delivery of special events
Requirements:
- All persons employed at SSESH must be over the age of 18
- Ability to manage confidential information including communication with families and colleagues
- Understanding of basic business practices such as accounting, human resources, and purchasing
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or related field
- An interest in learning about Montessori schools
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Completion of Safeguarding God’s Children Training (provided by SSESH)
- A successful background check, including fingerprinting
- Willingness to obtain and maintain first aid, automated external defibrillator (AED), and CPR certification
- Position may require extended periods of time at a desk or moving around campus. Also, the position may require you to lift objects up to around 20 pounds.
- The position may require event support on the weekends and/or evenings.
