Stevenson School is a PK-12 co-educational, college-preparatory, boarding and day school with enrollment of 770 students on two campuses in beautiful Central Coast California. The Upper Division campus (Grades 9-12) is located in Pebble Beach. The Lower/Middle Campus (Grades PK-8) is in nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea. Stevenson School is seeking an Operations Manager, Advancement with to start January 2024. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the operations manager will function as a project manager for the department, providing administrative and logistical coordination specifically related to the annual fund as well as more broadly for the advancement team. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player with advanced project management skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the enthusiasm to collaborate with colleagues to provide an exceptional and positive experience for all Stevenson donors. This is a full-time, 12-month/year position with occasional weekend and or evening work required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Project management including logistics and scheduling for all department efforts
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate annual fund meetings and event meetings
- Administrative support of all aspects of the fundraising process including projects, events, production of marketing materials, and internal and external communications, including gift acknowledgements
- Manage mailing calendar and execute mailings on schedule, to plan
- Support director of advancement operations with coordinating team projects
- Compile data and assist in preparation of associated reports to track giving by class and other metrics related to annual fund and other development initiatives
- Provide hands-on support for all advancement events throughout the year including management of guest lists as well as setup and breakdown of and attendance at events
- Manage department travel related to fundraising including flight and accommodation reservations and expense reporting and reimbursement process
- Participate in department meetings, facilitating conversations relating to project development and timelines
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2-years of prior experience in an administrative support role; experience in a fundraising environment preferred
- Familiarity with Google Office Suite and relational databases; experience with Slate is a significant plus
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and a commitment to complete projects within scheduled time frame
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach to all aspects of role
- Ability to work well as a team and independently
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and the integrity of all aspects of information disseminated within or external to the school community

Anticipated compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually, to be determined based on experience.
