Essential Functions

• Works with the Business Office and Advancement inputting/maintaining data, creating & generating reports, analyzing data and assisting with special projects.
• Responsible for inputting/maintaining data in the Financial Aid system and SSS, reconciling the two systems, preparing reports for the Financial Aid Committee and various other reporting needs.
• Generates reports for various software applications including, but not limited to, Accounting, Budgeting, Human Resources, Development, Facilities, Technology, Security and Auxiliary Services as needed for tracking daily, monthly and yearly progress, maintaining historical data for YTD comparisons and uploading into NAIS DASL, NBOA BIIS and other annual surveys.
• Support these above departments with data reconciliations assistance to the general ledges and details between departments and system subledgers.
• Assists in budgeting process by planning for budget season, rolling over database and preparing database for department managers, preparing/updating materials for budget training, training/ assisting the department managers in managing their budgets, reconciling budget system to payroll and general ledger. Uploads actual to PowerPlan (budgeting system) each month once closed and notifies department managers that reports are ready to be reviewed.
• Works with CFOO and departments responsible for portions of these systems to ensure accurate, timely and complete documented processes and workflow within and around the systems.
• Research ways to achieve efficiencies and/or alternative workflow solutions.
• Prepares and maintains desktop procedures for all job duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting with Computer Science course work and a minimum of three to five years’ non-profit accounting experience in a similar position (working in schools is a plus)
• Proven proficiency in database administration and Microsoft Office applications (MS Office365, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
• Well organized, able to change work focus quickly and constantly, able to handle many demands simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional people skills and professional personal presentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of accounting enterprise-wide systems is preferred (current software vendors include Veracross (current school wide system), Paycom, Community Brands, FMX, Camp Brain, Paymerang, Raptor (Visitor Management System).
