Concord Academy, an independent, co-educational boarding and day school renowned for its world-class faculty, passionate students, and graduates who make their mark on the world, seeks to fill a part-time opening for a math tutor and learning specialist in its Academic Support Center for the spring semester, January - May 2024.

The school seeks to appoint an experienced tutor in support of a strong and well-established Academic Support Center. The Academic Support Center (ASC) aims to help students develop habits of mind and work that will support them in pursuit of their academic goals at Concord Academy. The successful candidate will have the capacity and interest to tutor math subjects ranging from algebra 1 through precalculus and trigonometry. In addition to demonstrating an enthusiasm for working with adolescents on skill development, candidates should value and seek out opportunities to collaborate and partner with colleagues in support of students. The tutor will work as part of the Academic Support Center team, participating in departmental work on study skill building, adolescent learning, and pedagogical innovation. Applicants should have significant coursework in math, and learning specialist experience working to build underlying processing skills and provide individualized instruction for students.
This is a leave coverage position for the spring semester, running from January 8 - May 24, 2024, with potential for future employment in the Academic Support Center. Salary is commensurate with experience, and additional opportunities such as SAT tutoring may be available.
