The Langley School, a Preschool-8 independent school in McLean, Virginia, seeks a Director of Curriculum and Instruction to begin July 1, 2024.

The Director of Curriculum and Instruction is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and partners closely with the Head of School, three division heads, the Director of DEIB and After School Programs, and the Director of Student Support and Social Emotional Learning to oversee and support all of Langley’s curricular programs, after school programs, academic schedules, parent education, faculty evaluation and instructional coaching, and professional development.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree preferably in Education
- Minimum eight years experience in PS-8
- Proven success in a leadership role, preferably including curriculum design and instructional coaching
- Proven success as a team player in a dynamic service-oriented work environment
- Understanding of best practices in teaching, and fluency in data-informed instruction
- Strong research, data management, and analytical capabilities
- Experience and confidence with online tools and learning management systems, preferably including Blackbaud and the Google tool suite
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Experience with service learning in PS-8
- Strategic mindset with strong tactical skills and excitement for problem-solving
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Highly personable, communicative, supportive, collaborative style
