Crane Country Day School seeks a full-time Buildings and Grounds Assistant to join its team. The Buildings and Grounds Assistant’s primary responsibility is to maintain the beauty of the Crane campus and facilitate maintenance requests from our Staffulty. The successful candidate will be an energetic and hard-working individual who enjoys working in a school environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, furniture assembly and carpentry
- Maintain look and cleanliness of school campus and facilities
- Fulfill maintenance requests from Crane Staffulty
- Set-up for campus events
- Accept and deliver packages to recipients
- Monitor and replenish restroom supplies
- Mow campus fields
- Coordinate with and supervise vendors conducting repair work on campus
- This position may be required to work on weekends/evenings for scheduled campus events
- Attend all required staff meetings and special events
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, which will be verified via background check
Physical and Other Requirements
- Ability to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including riding/pushing lawnmower, weed wacker, handheld leaf blower, etc.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in throughout campus
- Ability to regularly lift items weighing 10-50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting
- Regularly sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat.
- Work in person on-site
- Background investigation required via Live Scan.
- TB assessment required for employment in CA schools.
