The Lawrenceville School Teaching Fellows are enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania’s Boarding School Teacher Residency program (part of UPenn’s Graduate School of Education), in which they work toward a master’s degree in Education. Teaching Fellows teach in an academic department, live on campus, and fully participate in the residential and co-curricular life of the School. The Lawrenceville School pays approximately 80% of fellows' graduate school tuition and fees and provides a salary, room and board for all fellows.
We are now accepting applications for our two-year teaching fellowship program for 2024-2025 in History (background in world or US history preferred).
The goal of this two-year program is to identify aspiring or early career educators (typically recent college graduates) with an interest in the boarding school context. Over a two-year period, the Lawrenceville School provides them with the training, skills, and experience they need to succeed as educators, as well as extensive mentoring and support.
We will begin reviewing applications December 1, 2023.
