Berkwood Hedge School seeks a highly organized interim Operations Coordinator for our Lower School. We hope to hire someone immediately or as soon as possible. The job ends June 30, 2024. This leadership position requires the ability to oversee and execute a wide range of daily tasks while maintaining a respectful and efficient workplace that serves and supports the entire school. Our team is strong, collegial, and highly collaborative.

DUTIES/TASK
The Interim Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Head of School. Regular tasks include:
- Serves as Receptionist to visitors, parents and students
- Responsible for internal communications, school calendar, teacher schedules, and teacher coverage during absences
- Coordinates site maintenance with outside providers/vendors
- Manages office processes, makes supply purchases, and manages file storage
- Volunteer coordination
- Some evening and weekend attendance is required. In addition, must be able to check early morning emails for teacher absences so subs can be arranged.
- Manages maintenance and repair crews
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous demands while maintaining a professional, friendly attitude.
- Significant experience with File Maker Pro, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, including Google Groups and Zoom.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of administrative work
- Prior experience in an independent school is desirable
- 2-year Associate or 4-year Bachelor's Degree preferred
This is a Full-Time Exempt position. The salary for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
