Reporting to the NMH Fund Director, the Assistant Director, NMH Fund - Family Giving & Engagement is primarily responsible for supporting the growth of the parent and family giving initiatives at NMH. In partnership with the NMH Fund Director and other members of the division’s fundraising and constituent engagement team, the Assistant Director will focus their efforts on supporting and strengthening relationships among NMH parents and families and promoting philanthropic support of the school.
This position coordinates the outreach and solicitation strategies needed to acquire, renew, upgrade, and steward leadership annual giving prospects among parents and families and to grow their membership in Loyalty Circle giving societies. This role will have high volume activity goals for calls, emails, and outreach and will be measured by both activity and conversion of outreach to gift activity.
The role will also demonstrate a desire to welcome parents and families to the NMH community, following enrollment and before arrival, and to work with school leadership and communications to connect families with one another, assisting with educating families about valuable resources, such as advisors, and topics relevant to student success as presented by the Dean of Students Office.
Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and have excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills with a personal capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to manage concurrent projects, and able to build organizational and cross-functional awareness. High attention to detail. Exemplary customer service skills. Detail-orientation to understand and consider data, information, and spreadsheets. Must be able and willing to be active on the phone and in active outreach (50% or more time). Call volume may be up to 50+ calls per week. Ability to work independently and creatively within established guidelines, while at the same time functioning as a member of a collaborative team in a complex fundraising organization.
