Roland Park Country School, an independent girls' school in Baltimore, MD, is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist, either part-time or full-time. The individual in this role reports directly to the Director of Safety and Security and will serve as the primary point of contact for all guests contacting or visiting the school. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greets visitors and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs them to the appropriate location.

Answers, screens, and redirect calls in a friendly and professional manner.

Gives clear directions and answers to visitors and callers (has maps available for visitors and checks the daily calendar to stay informed about athletic and other school events).

Performs administrative and clerical support as business needs require.

Keeps the reception station and Harris Center neat and welcoming (this includes occasional supervision of students).

Cleans the workstation at the end of each shift.

Maintains the visitor log and the visitor management system for all visitors and guests entering and exiting the building.

Logs visitor driver’s license into the SchoolPass System.

Assists with emergency situations as required.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, along with the ability to stand for brief intervals.
-
Perform repetitive motions to bend, kneel, lift, grasp, have finger dexterity to operate standard office equipment, squat, crouch, or lift objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
-
Proficient use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, handle paperwork, and perform tasks such as typing, writing, and using a computer.
-
Clear vision is needed to read and interpret documents and computer screens, as well as the ability to hear and respond to telephone calls, intercom systems, and in-person conversations.

Occasionally ascend and descend stairs in an office building.
WORK CONDITIONS
-
The Front Desk Receptionist is a 12-month, part-time or full-time, non-exempt position.
-
The work is performed primarily indoors.
-
The Front Desk Receptionist generally works Monday - Friday and must be able to start work promptly at 7:00 a.m.

Occasional extended hours may be required, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.

The individual in this position is expected to perform their job duties on campus and be available to work during all hours as may be assigned by the School.

As a condition of employment, all employees hired after August 1, 2021, are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and be able to provide proof of such vaccination.
