St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas, a boarding and day school serving 710 students in grades 6-12, is seeking a full-time Comprehensive Campaign Assistant to support the school’s historic comprehensive campaign and 75th-anniversary celebration.

The newly created Comprehensive Campaign Assistant position reports to the Comprehensive Campaign Director and supports the campaign to successful completion for the duration of the campaign. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Campaign Director for the planning, organization, and implementation of the comprehensive campaign and 75th-anniversary celebration. The Campaign Assistant is further responsible for supporting prospect research and information gathering, donor relations and stewardship, and volunteer and event support.

Responsibilities:

Prospect Research

• Conduct prospect research in support of the campaign, including biographical and business information, financial assets, areas of interest and philanthropic support, and affiliations.
• Work with Advancement Services team members to update Raiser’s Edge/NXT database specific to prospect research.

Campaign Support

• Provide administrative support to the Comprehensive Campaign Director and Director of Advancement, including expense reporting, meeting and event coordination, Raiser’s Edge/NXT data input and report generation, and file organization.
• Assist with donor correspondence and gift acknowledgements, special correspondence, preparation of donor packets and proposals, and creation of reports and presentations.
• Assist with implementation of campaign-related events, including creating invitations, tracking RSVPs, preparing name tags, and providing onsite support.
• Help to facilitate Campaign Committee meetings, including date and location scheduling, attendance tracking, and agenda and materials preparation.
• Assist in producing marketing materials and campaign collateral for web, print, social media, and internal communications.
• As directed, facilitate the fundraising activities of volunteer campaign solicitors by providing clerical, record-keeping, and other administrative support for their prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation efforts.
• Support the Comprehensive Campaign Director and Director of Alumni Relations in the planning, development, and execution of the year-long 75th anniversary celebration efforts.

Donor Relations and Stewardship

• Support donor stewardship efforts, including personalized events, mailings, and information gathering in support of the stewardship reporting process.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of administrative support experience are required.
• Nonprofit or education development experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Raiser’s Edge/NXT (or equivalent database)
• Basic experience with design software (Adobe Photoshop and InDesign or Canva) preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and editing skills (a writing sample may be requested).
• Demonstrated ability to retrieve, analyze, and synthesize information gathered from varied sources. Prospect research and data analysis experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Ability to work flexible hours as necessary, including evenings and weekends for special events, meetings, or other commitments.
