Charleston Collegiate School is seeking a full-time Math teacher for the 2023-2024 school year who is available to fill an immediate vacancy. Successful candidates will be creative, energetic, and highly skilled teachers who are passionate about student-centered, collaborative, experiential learning. Candidates should also have a proven track record of success teaching all levels of math. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching math to upper school students through calculus and the capacity to teach a middle school level course if needed.
Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is an independent day school which strives to recognize, nurture, and challenge each of its students. Essential Qualifications:
- A deep commitment to equity and diversity.

- Experience with experiential education and project-based learning.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and growth mindset
- A willingness to participate in student-life activities e.g., advisory, club leadership, coaching, after-school programs
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject discipline, e.g., Education or mathematics.
- A minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience
- Ability to teach all levels of mathematics from grade 6 to 12.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Independent school experience
- Advanced degree / postgraduate qualification
- The ability to teach other subject disciplines and elective courses, such as physics or economics
