Mounds Park Academy seeks a part-time, temporary administrative assistant within the Office of Admission and Communication. This position will begin immediately and extend through March 29, 2024. The position will be .6 FTE or approximately 24 hours per week. This position will work 4-5 hours per day starting at 8:30 AM. The schedule may flex occasionally based on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities Include

• Enter and manipulate data in Ravenna, MPA’s admission database.
• Create and coordinate inquiry packets, admission notifications, enrollment notifications and boxes and deliveries.
• Monitor the Admission office phone, text, and Live Chat lines, providing friendly and helpful responses to families.
• Coordinate all mailings, deliveries, and supply stocking and organization.
• Pay bills, tack expenditures, manage material inventory and ordering.
• Provide on and off campus special event support.
• Take notes at department meetings.
• Manage department calendar.
• Coordinate arrival and departure strategies for prospective families.
• Coordinate admission volunteers and assist them in connecting with prospective families.
• Provide additional general office support for the admission staff, particularly the director of admission and communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• One year applicable experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong office management skills including the ability to think independently and critically, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and be able to work with minimal supervision while also being a contributor to group or team projects.
• A sincere commitment to MPA’s mission and the willingness to be a visible, enthusiastic brand ambassador. Passion for what is good for children and families.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• High standards of ethics in conducting job-related activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an independent, PreK-12 school setting or within a public-school setting.
• Database experience.
