Position Description

The Pingry School is in search of a Communications and Marketing Coordinator with a focus in Digital Media. This role is ideal for a creative and skilled individual with experience in photography, videography, graphic design, and digital content creation. The successful candidate will develop and manage digital content that vividly captures the school's vibrant life across all avenues, including academics, athletics, arts, and clubs, and will work across all campuses and with all grade levels. This is an in-person, 12-month position that reports directly to the Assistant Director of Communications, Social Media Strategy, and Athletics. 

Responsibilities:

Photography and Videography 

• Capture and edit photographs and videos of school events for publication, social media, website, and archival purposes.

Graphic Design

• Design diverse materials for both digital and offline media
• Curate visual design content that tells engaging stories that reinforce the schools’ brand voice and messaging strategy in coordination with all other communications

Auxiliary Programs Communications and Marketing Support

• Work with the Assistant Director of Communications and Auxiliary Program Team to help promote Pingry Summer Programs. 
• Webpage: 
• Provide strategic direction on the Pingry Summer website (outward-facing design, messaging identity, visual identity) 
• Liaise with outside vendors to manage SEO 
• Social Media: 
• Manage Pingry Summer's social media account
• Generate social media content for posting to the @pingrysummer account
• Maintain social media calendar of content in coordination with other authorized school accounts (main school, athletics, arts)
• Manage marketing emails to promote areas of need strategically

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field preferred
• Experience in photography/videography (production and editing)
• A strong eye for visual composition
• 2-3 years related experience
• Experience with social media applications
• Experience in Photoshop, Canva, the Adobe Creative Suite, and iMovie is preferred
• Experience using Canon DSLR camera for photo and video a plus
• Drone Pilot Experience, FAA license a plus
• Ability to navigate the Google Suite of applications (Gmail, Google Drive,  Google Calendar, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dedicated to working cooperatively with other team members
• Robust interpersonal skills
• Other duties as assigned
• This position may require some nights and weekend availability
