Villa Academy seeks a Substitute Teacher to be on-call as needed through the academic year. Our substitute teachers are scheduled ahead of time or called in to cover classroom responsibilities when a teacher is out. Substitutes may cover a variety of classes.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative, knowledgeable, and child-centered teacher.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ?  Provide instruction and support to students in various subjects.

• ?  Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the regular classroom teacher.

• ?  Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• ?  Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.

• ?  Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom rules and policies.

• ?  Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure continuity of

  instruction.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• ?  Successful teaching experience in Preschool, Lower School, or Middle School.

• ?  Ability to follow or change a work plan based on the needs of students.

• ?  Strong communication and organizational skills.

• ?  Knowledge and love of students.

• ?  Desire to utilize Villa’s amazing outdoor campus, as part of the classroom experience.

• ?  Willingness to work collaboratively with a grade level partner.

SALARY RANGE:

• ?  Full day (four to seven and a half hours) - $230.48

• ?  Half day (up to four hours) - $115.24

• ?  Hourly - $28.81
