St. George's seeks an Academic Registrar for the SY 24-25. The Academic Registrar manages the academic record-keeping of the school, including all student records and course data. The Registrar partners with the Director of Studies and Dean of Teaching & Learning on the school schedule, with Department Chairs on assigning course sections and rosters, with teachers on the entry of grades and comments, and with the College Counseling Office on preparing transcripts. The Academic Registrar works closely with the Associate Head for Faculty and School Affairs coordinating the weekly and annual school calendars, faculty hiring, and duty rosters for non-dorm faculty. The Academic Registrar also serves as a special administrative liaison to the Associate Head and the Dean. Candidates must also be willing to engage in all aspects of boarding school life, including the school’s academic, afternoon and residential life programs.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; Master’s preferred.
- Relevant experience in an academic office preferred, but not required.
- Relevant experience with scheduling software and building a schedule preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collegial and professional team. The ideal candidate must be approachable and welcoming, able to manage challenging and confidential situations with discretion, respect, sensitivity, and humor; detail-oriented, flexible and positive.
- Attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to time sensitive requests.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment.
