Purpose: To help foster a safe, exciting, organized, and nurturing Summer Program for children while upholding SJA’s mission, philosophies and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall operation and success of Summer Programs.
- Coordinates with the Director of Marketing on the following:
- Managing the timeline for marketing, registration, deadlines to enroll, etc.
- Promoting the Summer Programs on our website and through social media.
- Coordinates the registration process.
- Recruits and organizes the services of staff/teachers to run the programs.
- Maintains records required by the school and outside agencies for compliance and safety purposes..
- Ensures all Program Facilitators have the appropriate background checks completed.
- Responsible for the arrangement of external vendors and/or renters needed for certain Summer Programs.
- Serve as point person in the front office during all 6 weeks of Summer Programs from 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Greeting and screening visitors.
- Answering telephones and taking messages.
- Direct and interact in a professional manner with participants, families, and vendors.
- Helps to create and monitor a safe, healthy and secure environment for all children and staff members.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Works in conjunction with the CFO to ensure profitability of the camps.
- Prepares camp summary reports for the Head and Board of Trustees.
Hours/Schedule:
- 8:30am - 3:30pm, during the 6 weeks of Summer Programs which typically runs from mid June - early August.
Compensation:
- This is an hourly position and you will be paid on the 10th of the month.
Requirements:
- Prior management experience is preferred.
- Must be organized, professional and able to multitask.
