Harbor Day School is seeking qualified substitute teachers for grades K-8 in all subject matters, including art, music, technology and physical education. Substitute teachers are expected to actively engage with students in classroom activities, use effective classroom management strategies and implement lesson plans as needed. Depending on grade level, they will sometimes have sole responsibility for a classroom and sometimes they will share duties with another teacher. Substitute teachers will often need to supervise students during recess and lunch as well. Teaching credential or coursework completed toward teaching credential is preferred.
