Position Overview: We seek passionate and dynamic educators to join our team at Glacier Peak Academy, a new private athletics school dedicated to innovative, project-based learning. As a teacher at our school, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among our students. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Design and develop project-based curricula that align with our school's mission and values.
Integrate innovative teaching methodologies to engage students in active learning experiences.
Classroom Instruction:
Facilitate dynamic and interactive classroom sessions that foster inquiry, exploration, and problem-solving skills in Mathematic and Language Arts.
Create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to take intellectual risks and explore their passions.
Project-Based Learning:
Implement and oversee project-based learning initiatives across various subjects.
Guide students through the entire project lifecycle, from ideation and planning to execution and presentation.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects integrating multiple subjects and real-world applications.
Work closely with students, parents, and community partners to enhance the educational experience through collaborative projects and initiatives.
Assessment and Feedback:
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
Evaluate project outcomes based on established learning objectives and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices in project-based learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in project-based learning or innovative teaching methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with educational technology tools and platforms.
Knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
