Job Summary: Provides an engaging and inspiring classroom experience for students in Spanish
Specific Responsibilities:
Teaches Spanish in a culturally and linguistically immersive environment
Develops engaging curriculum to meet the needs of our students
Collaborates with fellow World Language teachers in curriculum development and teaching practices
Plans and leads appropriate field trips
Keeps records and writes reports according to current school guidelines
Attends Department Meetings, Full Faculty meetings as scheduled and In-Service/PD days
Models a culture of flexible, continuous learning for students and colleagues
Establishes and cultivates community relations by maintaining open and candid dialogue with all of the school’s constituencies
Complies and is familiar with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents
Engages in professional development through teacher in-services, Preview Days, Review Days, and conferences as determined in conversation with school leadership
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility
Performs other duties as assigned

Seattle Waldorf School seeks a Part-time Grades Spanish Teacher for the academic year commencing September 2024. Annual Salary Range: $32,622-$62,792 for .6 FTE. Salary offer will be based on education and experience according to the SWS Faculty Salary Scale, prorated for FTE. This position is currently at 0.6 FTE.
