Bernard Zell seeks a thoughtful, detail-oriented, mature and responsible individual to fulfill the afternoon role as part-time BZ Beyond Associate. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be exceptionally collaborative and collegial, and share a great enthusiasm for children and their learning in this independent Jewish day school.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the positive growth of children of age’s nursery to 8th grade.

• Plan and facilitate afternoon activities and homework help

• Be responsible for the safety and supervision of a group of children

• Mentor and role model Bernard Zell’s mission

• Communicate regularly with BZ Beyond Student Activities Coordinator

• Take care of housekeeping, including but not limited to, set-up and clean-up of BZ Beyond classrooms

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or higher

• Teaching and supervisory experience required. Deep knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate practice.

• Knowledge and mastery of the most up to date practices and pedagogies and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
