B.A.S.E. After School Program Supervisors are responsible for implementing and supervising a wide variety of play based learning activities for Early Childhood - 8th grade children in the Baker After School Enrichment program. Program Supervisors must be able to ensure that program participants have a safe, supportive, fun, interactive experience while engaging in free play with students. Applicants must have previous experience working with children.
School Year Long Position: August 26, 2024 - June 10, 2025
Additional hours available to run half and full day programming on school days out throughout the year.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Create a safe, supportive, interactive and engaging environment for youth Positively interact with youth, parents/guardians and other team members to create a respectful, warm, supportive environment
Maintains accurate attendance, instructional and other records as necessary Communicate with parents during pick up
Communicate consistently with supervisors and other team leaders
Ensure compliance with established rules and regulations to ensure safety Keep assigned areas clean and sanitize as needed
Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor Perform other related duties as assigned, based on needs
Required Skills/Abilities :
Ability to establish constructive relationships and interact as a positive role model for youth Ability to lead daily activities including but not limited to snack, homework help, arts & crafts, various games
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to take initiative and use good judgment in responding to situations that arise Ability to take direction and adapt to the work environment

Education and/or Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Experience working with children ages 3 -13 years old is preferred
First Aid/CPR + Mandated Reporter Certification must be obtained within the first three months of employment
