About the position: The Admission Tour Guide/Interviewer gives campus tours and interviews prospective parents. They are integral members of the Admission Team and support the Admission Office with information sessions, tours and other events occurring throughout the year. The Office welcomes hundreds of families during the Admission season, processes applications for these families, and is the first and most critical point of contact for an experience with Shady Hill. As a member of the Admissions Team, this position will play a key role in the recruitment of a diverse student population defined by our Diversity Mission Statement. The Admission Tour Guide/Interviewer duties include conducting information sessions, tours, and parent/guardian interviews as part of a positive and engaging admissions process. This is a seasonal position from late September through March and not eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities:
Give tours to prospective parents
Conduct parent/guardian interview both on campus and virtually
Attend and participate in admission events
Write and submit interview evaluation forms
Attend and participate in admission meetings, as needed
Represent Shady Hill to prospective families and support all recruitment efforts
Provide administrative support to the Admission Office, as needed
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent cultural competency and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop positive, professional relationships with colleagues and families
Strong organizational skills
Enthusiasm for sharing information about educational programs and the Shady Hill School community
Punctuality and dependability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Google Suite and with Zoom
Ability to work occasional weekends as necessary
