Buckingham Browne & Nichols School is seeking an Upper School Strength & Conditioning Coach to cover a leave from September 2024, through early November 2024. The Strength & Conditioning Coach will report to the Director of Athletics and work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics. The BB&N Athletic Department expects its coaches to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
designing and implementing a strength training and conditioning program for upper school students that sign up for the fall season in conjunction with another strength and conditioning coach
tracking athlete attendance and athlete progression in conjunction with another strength and conditioning coach
uphold policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards Guidelines
communicating with students relevant information regarding the schedule and program
supervises the behavior of students in the strength and conditioning rooms
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should be collaborative, energetic, organized, knowledgeable, flexible, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Upper School School Coaching Schedule
Pre-season Coaches Meeting on Monday, August 26th around 5:00pm
Season starts Monday, September 9th, 2024, and ends November 8, 2024
Practice are generally around 3:45 - 5:45, Monday through Friday
Holidays when school is not in session include:
Rosh Hashanah,
Yom Kippur
Compensation Information:
At BB&N a Strength & Conditioning Coach earns a season-long stipend of $2,500.00.
