Position Description, Digital Strategy Coordinator Chatham Hall Marketing & Communications
SUMMARY:
The Digital Strategy Coordinator is a creative, organized, and energetic member of the Communications and Marketing team and is vital to the success of Chatham Hall.
Under the supervision of the School’s Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications, this role works closely with faculty, staff, students, and other School constituents to actively produce content and strategy for Chatham Hall’s website, intranet, social media channels, and digital marketing initiatives. The Coordinator also serves as a School photographer and videographer and helps create and deploy print and digital publications and marketing pieces to support Chatham Hall’s strategic priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT
Assist in oversight of website management and upgrades, including the production and launch of new sites and microsites.
Create new pages or sections as needed, including writing search engine optimized content.
Ensure compliance with all required regulations.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Manage main School social media channels with regular posts, working with all departments on needed campaigns.
Ensure differentiation of content on all channels for intended strategic purposes.
Monitor and manage social media interactivity for brand management and to ensure reputation.
Collaborate with the Riding and Alumnae social media channels and any other institutional channels.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Manage digital profiles, including but not limited to Wikipedia, Google, Niche, and Boarding School Review.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
As the School videographer, produce organic video content for website, social media, and email campaigns
As the School photographer, ensure event coverage, meet the needs of digital and print publications, and maintain School photo galleries
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Support the design of all School publications including two editions of the School magazine, the Chat, admissions materials, advancement materials, and all other materials as needed. Content from the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications.
Facilitate ordering stationery and spirit items for the School Store as needed
Being a brand champion through all modes of communications and publications
Creating digital design for use in emails, social media, and other platforms.
GENERAL MARKETING
Support the annual marketing plan to effectively communicate Chatham Hall’s story to key stakeholders.
Partner with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications to uphold the brand’s identity, language, and visual execution.
Engage students, faculty, alumnae, and others to bring the brand strategy to life through collaboration and enthusiasm.
Create and maintain reference materials for the Office of Communications & Marketing and the broader School community.
DUTIES AS ASSIGNED Chatham Hall’s Office of Communications & Marketing is a distinctly collaborative team in which every member wears many hats. The Digital Strategy Coordinator collaborates with others in the creation of materials for all constituencies, particularly supporting the Offices of Enrollment and Advancement in meeting annual institutional goals including related events. From time to time, the Digital Strategy Coordinator may be called upon to assist with the production and mailing of publications and other collateral.
SUPERVISOR: The Digital Strategy Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications.

The Digital Strategy Coordinator should have at least a four-year degree with a communications, marketing, or digital media focus preferred. In addition:
Proficiency with Google Suite is required.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar), HTML, video/audio and editing tools, and new media platforms is highly encouraged.
Experience with project management platforms.
OTHER INFORMATION: This administrative position is full-time (12 months/37.5 hours per week) and benefits eligible. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with frequent weekend and evening responsibilities. This position description is not all-inclusive, as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned including those related to the nature of a boarding School such as advising, sponsoring a class, or other community duties.
