In Woodside Priory’s admissions process, the Admissions Associate is generally the first point of contact for a prospective family when inquiring about admissions for their child. This individual establishes the tone for a meaningful relationship and exemplifies the Benedictine value of hospitality families expect of our community. A reliable presence in the Admissions office, the Admissions Associate must possess enthusiasm, flexibility, and a global perspective as the needs and demands of our inquiry pool span worldwide. The Admissions Associate is often characterized as a proactive individual, anticipating the needs of families and of his/her colleagues in the Admissions Office and ensuring that all information families submit to us about their children is complete and confidentially maintained.
The Admissions Associate reports to the Director of Admissions and partners closely with the entire Admissions Team. Some weekend work is required. This is a full-time, 12-month, non- exempt position.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Serve as a main point of contact for prospective families; assist prospective families with various aspects of the application process by providing accurate and timely information in-person, over the phone, and via email.
-Oversee the office’s customer relationship management systems and ensure all data are updated and accurate; process incoming documents and ensure integrity of student files.
- Supervise the scheduling process for signature admissions events; manage internal admissions calendar for events, visits, and interviews.
-Lead campus tours as needed.
- Prepare admissions files for evaluation.
- Possess enthusiasm for taking on special projects and other duties
Qualifications -Bachelor’s Degree preferred -Previous experience working with elementary and/or secondary aged students (e.g. coaching, counseling, teaching, etc.) -Experience with marketing and communications, including possessing warm and hospitable speaking and written communication skills. -Powerful organizational and data management skills with empathetic flexibility to adapt as needs change -Strong command of technology and data management systems (e.g. Blackbaud, Ravenna, Salesforce, etc.) including Microsoft Office Suite. - A collaborative, go-getter spirit to partner effectively and efficiently with members of the Admissions Team, Priory faculty, and administrators. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and contribute to an equitable admissions experience -A positive drive and genuine desire to partner with families through the admissions process In addition, candidates who possess the following skills and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply: - Previous independent school experience in a professional role or as a volunteer with significant responsibility -Successful event planning experience and/or previous marketing and communications experience, especially with social media -Fluency in spoken and written Spanish or Mandarin
Physical Requirements -Ability to lift 20 pounds, using proper lifting techniques - Ability to sit, stand, and/or move around campus as needed - Ability to safely and comfortably travel around our campus - Ability to use a keyboard (or an alternative input device) and other office equipment for extensive periods of time -Ability to read information in printed material on a computer screen (often for extended periods of time) and/or on a mobile device/laptop
