Position Overview
The Lycée is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Arabic Teacher to join our dynamic team.
The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for delivering Arabic language instruction to students in grades 6through 11. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment, and will possess a deep understanding of Arabic language and culture. This role requires a strong ability to develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and encourage a love for the Arabic language.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging and effective Arabic language lessons to middle and high school students.
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and enthusiasm.
Design and implement assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Arabic language program and integrate it into the broader curriculum.
Encourage students to appreciate Arabic language and culture through extracurricular activities and cultural events.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and academic performance.
Stay current with best practices in language education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Annual salary range
$73,576 - $123,417
*This pay range corresponds to steps 5 and 30 of our current salary grid.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience teaching Arabic at the Middle and High School level.
Strong proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of contemporary Arabic literature, media, and current events.
Familiarity with technology and digital tools for language instruction.
Experience with diverse student populations and cultural backgrounds.
