Job Description:
The Admissions Associate position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and provides clerical and administrative support, primarily during the peak admission season (mid-August through June), to support student enrollment. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry, MS Office, customer service, editing/grammar skills, and the ability to uphold strict confidentiality. The ideal candidate will also have some experience managing social media. This is approximately a 10-month, part-time position (.50 FTE) and will require occasional weekend and/or evening work during the peak admissions season.
Essential Job Functions:
Admissions Associate
Works collaboratively with the Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Tuition Assistance in order to process and manage student admissions; including: scheduling tours, open houses, parent interviews, student interviews, etc.
Creates and manages mailings and outreach packets.
Leads set-up of event tables, including refreshments, admissions collateral, etc.
Processes incoming applications and documentation.
Prepares assessment materials and participates in student assessments.
Creates and maintains admissions files.
Communicates promptly via phone and email with prospective parents and the school community.
Assists with admissions events, including preparing Open House materials, handouts, and schedules.
Tracks attendance of events in the admissions database.
Manages admissions and student data and with accuracy and detail.
Supports display creation and breakdown for events throughout the school year.
Attends admissions fairs and outreach events.
Other duties as assigned.
Schedule and Hours:
This is approximately a 10-month part-time, non-exempt position (approximately .50 FTE), with hours that will fluctuate between 10 and 30 hours per week, depending on need, and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Compensation/Benefits:
The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for the part-time position of Admissions Associate is $28 to $32 per hour, depending on factors such as experience and education.
Desired Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Strong data entry and MS Office/Google Suite skills
Quick learner of new software/technology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong editing/grammar skills
Oral and written fluency in Spanish preferred but not required
Detail-oriented, flexible and organized; demonstrated initiative
Experience managing social media campaigns is essential.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills while also being able to manage projects independently
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge of independent schools a plus
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Must possess a valid US driver’s license, have reliable access to a personal vehicle, and be able to provide proof of current vehicle insurance
