Springfield Commonwealth Academy is seeking a dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English language learners and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Duties - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' language proficiency levels - Provide instruction in English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening - Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles - Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning atmosphere - Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their language development - Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning goals
Requirements - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents - Experience in special education or working with diverse student populations is beneficial - Proficiency in lesson planning and classroom management techniques - Knowledge of bilingual education or literacy education is advantageous - Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for educational purposes - Experience in tutoring or teaching visually impaired or deaf students would be a plus
- Fluency in Spanish or Korean is highly desired
