Indian Mountain School (IMS) seeks nominations and applications for an experienced, thoughtful, and strategic fundraiser with a proven track record of success to serve as its next Senior Associate Director of Advancement. The position is available immediately with a start date to be determined in collaboration with the successful candidate.
Reporting to Sarah Smith, Assistant Head of School for External Relations and Director of Advancement, the Senior Associate Director of Advancement will be a strategic collaborator with experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting, motivating, and stewarding donors. They will direct IMS’s efforts to raise leadership level annual support from alumni, parents, and friends to meet the school's philanthropic needs. Centering a commitment to the school’s mission, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Advancement to shape the strategic direction of the advancement office and facilitate a new era of fundraising and constituent relations. This will be accomplished through the creation of comprehensive, goal-based strategies, and the cultivation and stewardship of meaningful relationships within the community.
IMS is an independent coeducational junior boarding and day school for children in grades pre-K through 9. Of their approximately 310 students, more than 105 are boarding students, in grades 6 through 9, from across the country and around the world. The school’s two campuses are situated on 600 breathtaking acres in Lakeville, Connecticut. Their curriculum is designed to inspire students to examine the world—and to be the change they wish to see in it. They believe that their students have the power to effect real change, and that it is their job to help their students realize that potential. By bringing real-world issues into play, students grow into active and responsible participants in their own education and become inspired to think beyond themselves.

This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Connecticut, however, hybrid work arrangements will be considered. Salary commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
