Springdale Preparatory School seeks a Male Residential Life Instructor to live-in and supervise male boarding students in grades 6 to 12, who live in the dormitory of the School's residential campus.

The male residential life instructor is responsible for helping address individual student needs, maintain the safety and security of the dorm, respond to emergencies, and support male student's academic progress and personal growth.
This position is responsible for oversight of the male’s dorm overnight during the academic year and must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends.
Essential Functions of the position include:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the school
Communicate regularly with the Head of Residential Life regarding student behavior, academic or social issues, maintenance needs, or other observations or concerns
Help the students maintain the cleanliness of their dorm rooms and common areas
Help facilitate Residential Life Orientation sessions/activities
Assist with and plan student programs and activities
Complete residential progress reports
Assist with student transportation to medical appointments
Provide supervision during large scale school events
Provide support and coverage in other dorms when needed
Maintain the residential coordinator's own living spaces
Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
Applicants must be willing to live on campus in a private apartment
Ability to work some weeknights and weekends
Hold a regular non-commercial driver’s license
Must be able to lift 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
Bachelor’s degree in education or related fields preferred
Experience working with adolescent children preferred
Experience working in residential life preferred
