BB&N is seeking a varsity squash coach. This job may be a Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Squash Team or an assistant coach of both the Boys and Girls Varsity Squash Teams. This is a stipend, part-time position during the winter season. Responsibilities include all aspects of team organization, including practice planning and administrative tasks. Head and assistant coaches provide examples of fair play, team building, character building, and respect for the players. The BB&N Athletic Department expects its coaches to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual as well as the Independent School League (ISL) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) rules and guidelines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
practice planning and game oversight,
mentoring and instructing players in skill development, character development, and teamwork.
communicating with parents/guardians relevant information regarding games, practices, and other team commitments
commitment to the support and development of those students with an ability and/or desire to compete at the collegiate level is important.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate is approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community. Bachelor’s degree required.
In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Commitment to the academic success and character development of the students
Passion for their sport and for working with middle and high school aged students
Commitment to an inclusive and equitable approach to all student athletes
Communicates effectively and responsibly with students, parents and colleagues
High standards of professional conduct

Pre-season Coaches Meeting on November 12, 2024
Team tryouts start November 18. Post-season play ends on November 17th.
Practices are held at various times in the afternoon and evening (often from 7:00-9:30pm) at Tufts University.
Winter Holidays and Vacations when school is not in session include:
Thanksgiving (November 27th-29th)
Winter Break (December 23rd-January 6th)
