Position Summary
The Associate Director of Annual Giving is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive, strategic, integrated effort to build Rowland Hall’s base of Annual Fund donors. This person will also focus on planning and executing stewardship activities for all major gift donors.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting all Annual Fund donors, including parents, board members, former board members, grandparents, faculty/staff, past parents, and friends
Developing a yearly plan to maximize Annual Fund results, in coordination with other development efforts at the school
Working strategically to increase leadership giving
Establishing and managing a team of volunteers
Creating all print and/or electronic solicitation materials
Maintaining a visible presence in the community (donor lunches, school functions, etc.)
Working closely with the marketing team to communicate the importance of the Annual Fund, including: writing quarterly articles for the online magazine, contributing articles and donor lists for the Annual Report, writing and updating web pages, and exploring other creative uses of electronic media to communicate a compelling message to our supporters
Assist in creating financial reports for board meetings, finance committee meetings, and internal and external audits
Developing recognition opportunities appropriate to Rowland Hall culture and individual donors
Assist in organizing all fundraising events.
Maintaining all related financial materials, and ensuring that all gift acceptance and management policies and procedures are followed with care
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Non-profit fundraising experience preferred

Additional Information
This is a full-time, year-round, exempt position working in person on campus. Reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement. The optimal start date is October 14, 2024.
