We are seeking a qualified, energetic Admissions Counselor who has the desire to join our team and make a difference in the lives of the Academy's young men. The Admissions Counselor position serves as a member of the Admissions team and reports directly to the Director of Admissions. Admissions Counselor is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and enrolling qualified students in accordance with the philosophy of the Academy. The person in this position will maintain frequent contact with the families of potential and enrolled students, demonstrating a high level of commitment and sensitivity to their needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Actively participates in the Admissions Team’s mission to enroll new students and re-enroll current cadets. 
• To present the Academy to prospective students and parents, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; interviews prospective students; makes arrangements for admissions testing, if required; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the administrative team at Hargrave. 
• Arranging and conducting campus tours, and participating in open houses and other information sessions.
• Oversees admissions process for prospective cadets and their families ensuring a smooth transition.
• Represents Hargrave at recruiting events, on and off campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
• Support the school and its leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

• Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written) with a service-oriented attitude
• 2-5 years of successful Recruiting or Sales experience
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, ability to enter data into the CRM
• Strong phone communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information 
• Available to work some weekends to host events such as an open house or tour for prospective families
• Ability to travel
• Valid driver's license with good driving record; must be insurable.
