The Technology Support Technician is a member of the technology team. Along with the Director of Technology and Innovation, the IT Operations and Systems Manager, and the Technology and Innovation Assistant, the Technology Support Technician supports the configuration and maintenance of technology devices and systems.
REPORTS TO:IT OPERATIONS AND SYSTEMS MANAGER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
System and Device Management
Support the deployment and maintenance of technology devices
Install, maintain, and configure computer systems
Perform system patches and upgrades
Support the 1:1 iPad program, faculty laptops, and shared laptop carts using MDM solutions and Apple School Manager
Help Desk and Technical Support
Staff the Technology Help Desk as the initial point of contact for constituents.
Monitor the ticketing system to record, update, escalate, and resolve work order tickets
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, run diagnostics, and document resolutions.
Ensure equipment problems are resolved promptly with minimal disruptions
Service copier and printer needs, such as toner, paper jams, and other printer problems
Assist faculty and staff with school-wide systems
Classroom Support
Support and troubleshoot classroom devices
Additional Support and other Duties
Provide support to Parish Staff with network, wifi, laptops, and iPads
Set up and manage multimedia devices and zoom/livestream for school meetings/presentations, sometimes outside of regular school hours
Perform other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Required to lift and carry up to a maximum of 25 lbs., in a correct manner consistent with the appropriate training provided by the School
Occasionally required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, touch and use tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, talk, hear, and walk during the course of employment
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus
May use telephone, computer, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day
Required to sit while operating word processing equipment for approximately 2-4 hours daily, repetitive motion for typing and other keystroke needs
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a non-exempt part-time position
COMPENSATION
$32 - $40 per hour depending on experience

All school personnel must successfully complete a fingerprint background check through Live Scan and provide current tuberculosis clearance
