Position Title: Director of Annual Giving Reports To: Vice President for Advancement FLSA Status: Exempt Work Year: 12 months
Purpose: The Director of Annual Giving will play a pivotal role in expanding and deepening the Notre Dame Fund’s impact by building relationships with our community—current parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, businesses, and friends of the school. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Charge: Design and execute a bold, comprehensive plan to drive the success of the Notre Dame Fund, increasing donor engagement and participation at every level.
Build Awareness and Inspire Giving: Be the voice of the Notre Dame Fund, actively promoting its mission and cultivating a culture of philanthropy across our community. Develop and implement strategies to elevate awareness and inspire new levels of support.
Set and Achieve Financial Goals: Collaborate with the Corporate President, Head of School, and Vice President for Advancement to set ambitious financial targets—and meet or exceed them.
Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day logistics of annual giving programs, ensuring smooth execution and high-impact results.
Collaborative Strategy Development: Work closely with colleagues in the Office of Advancement to identify key opportunities for increasing participation and donation levels, leveraging insights to shape engagement strategies.
Manage Constituent Relations: Oversee the accurate and detailed maintenance of donor records, ensuring that data is consistently updated and easily accessible for targeted communications and relationship-building.
Create and Manage Special Events: Plan, organize, and execute high-profile events, including the St. Peter Chanel Annual Dinner, Volunteer Appreciation Events, and Grandparents Day—moments that help strengthen community ties and recognize the generosity of our supporters.
Support Annual Report and Stewardship: Partner with the Office of Advancement to craft a compelling Annual Report that reflects the impact of donor support, recognizing contributions and telling the story of our school’s achievements.
Engage Volunteers: Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve as champions of our annual giving efforts, ensuring their involvement helps to amplify our messaging and outreach.
Adapt and Innovate: Embrace new ideas and approaches to annual giving, helping to ensure that our efforts remain dynamic and effective in a changing landscape.
