Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Director of Summer and Auxiliary Programs is responsible for partnering in strategic planning, operations, market development, program design, and management of all CSW Auxiliary Programs, including summer camp and facilities rentals. Successful candidates will have the experience and drive to develop CSW’s Auxiliary and Summer Programs to the highest degree of educational excellence. They will be motivated by an entrepreneurial spirit and committed to continuous innovation. Applicants should be well-versed in culturally responsive practices, be committed to developing their cultural competency and equity literacy skills, and approach health through an anti-racist lens.
Specific Responsibilities for this Position Include:
Program Management
Ensure all summer and auxiliary program participants have a safe and positive experience *
Oversee curriculum development for all summer programs in coordination with the Director of Strategic Initiatives *
Steward a high-quality program with an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for all participants *
Manage all summer and auxiliary program registrations *
Establish routines, provide positive guidance, and enforce policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies, in accordance with CSW’s stated values *
Provide ongoing supervision and support for all summer faculty and staff of the summer and auxiliary programs *
Develop and oversee all safety and health protocols in coordination with the school’s risk management plan *
Manage all rentals of school facilities in coordination with the school calendar *
Work with local and state officials to ensure regulatory compliance *
Financial Management
Ensure that the Auxiliary Programs’ financial performances meet or exceed budgeted expectations *
Prepare annual budget covering all aspects of program expenses and revenues to ensure profitability *
Monitor revenue and expenses in accordance with budgetary restrictions for bottom line performance across all programs *
Continually strive to generate and grow net revenue in support of the school *
Work with individual coaches and teachers to ensure the profitability of their programs
Establish appropriate compensation for all auxiliary program employees in coordination with the Director of Strategic Initiatives *
Marketing and Communications
Effectively promote programming in support of enrollment and revenue targets *
In coordination with the Marketing and Communications Department and the Director of Strategic Initiatives, develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for all auxiliary programs *
Manage all affiliated social media channels, generating and disseminating compelling content *
Oversee the development, maintenance, and management of the program website *
Create and distribute print and digital marketing collateral, including but not limited to: open house promotion, direct mail, brochures, and flyers *
Oversee print and digital advertising and outreach *
Manage public relations efforts *
Gather photo and video assets *
Write and distribute regular communications among summer and auxiliary program constituencies that effectively provide updated information and a sense of community *

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet; however, variations in noise level may occur when the employee attends school functions such as assemblies, school dances, and other events.

Skills and Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform essential functions of the job.
5-7 years of summer/auxiliary program experience with 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience managing summer/auxiliary programs
Well-developed, collaborative work style; ability to interact with employees at all levels of the community
An expert in youth development programming, demonstrating current and thorough knowledge of regulations, applicable laws, trends, best practices, and new developments in the field
A creative self-starter who brings wisdom, perspective, confidence, and excellent problem-solving skills to the position
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a budget
Expertise with Google products, database management (experience with homeroom.com preferred), website development, and digital media
Working knowledge of best practices in marketing and communications
Strong comfort and familiarity with social media channels like Facebook and Instagram, preferably in a professional context
Understanding and experience with WordPress
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and regularly adjust strategy based on CSW’s needs
An independent and strategic thinker capable of understanding the full scope of projects while seeing individual tasks through to completion
Ability and desire to travel as necessary, including domestic and international travel
